Bed Exit Notifications: Setup & Management

Bed Exit Notifications help you track when a resident leaves their bed, so staff can respond quickly and reduce fall risk. Notifications are configured per resident and sent directly to the tablets.

How to Set Up Bed Exit Notifications

  1. Go to the Motion & Exits tab

    • After signing in, open the resident’s profile.

    • Navigate to the Motion & Exits tab in the left column.

  2. Add a new notification

    • Click “Add New" in the upper right corner.

    • Select the patient by entering their Room Number or Name.

  3. Review the activity graph

    • The height of the graph shows how frequently the resident exits the bed.

    • Use this information to decide the right notification settings.

  4. Configure notification settings

    • Use the slider to choose the timeframe for receiving bed exit notifications.

  5. Save your configuration

    • Once saved, a notification will be sent to tablets each time the resident exits the bed during the selected timeframe.


How to Turn Off Bed Exit Notifications

  1. Click on the resident’s name.

  2. Go to the Motion & Exits tab.

  3. Toggle Off to disable notifications.


💡 Tip: Bed Exit Notifications can be adjusted at any time to better match a resident’s needs and reduce unnecessary alerts.
